Who we are

Adolescent Minds Support (AMS) is a nonprofit organisation based in Accra, Ghana. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through adolescentmindssupport.org. We aim to comply with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana.

What we collect

We collect information you give us directly: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, messages, volunteer application details (including any CV you upload) and donation details. For donations, card and mobile money details are handled by our payment partners (Paystack and Flutterwave); AMS does not see or store full card numbers.

We also collect limited technical data such as browser type and pages visited, using privacy-conscious analytics (Cloudflare Analytics and, where enabled, Google Analytics 4).

How we use it

We use your information to respond to enquiries, review volunteer applications, process and acknowledge donations, send updates you have asked for, improve the website and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

Children and young people

Our services are for adolescents, but our website forms are intended for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent, guardian or teacher to contact us on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through website forms.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us operate (for example Cloudflare for hosting and security, and payment processors), and when required by law or to protect someone's safety.

Retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. We use HTTPS encryption, access controls, bot protection and secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected people and the regulator where required.

Your rights
